Ok cool. NP.
What do you mean though, track users on a forum page? I dont really follow.
Say gravatar's are accepted. Then a thread page will show several links to gravatar.com. Every visitor viewing that page will contact gravatar.com. Gravatar.com can track with the IP of the visitor which pages the visitor visits (at least other pages with gravatars) and also how many times a page is viewed, which gravatars are on the same page together, where the gravatar person leaves his/her posts, how many etc. That's deep profiling and something I'm against.
Some people might say that they don't care. Until they run into the side-effects of having your information scattered all over the place.
