I currently use IronSpeed for small RAD DB web apps - simple apps that are pretty much just master-detail grids allowing you to update the underlying database. Because IronSpeed doesn't allow enough code customization I'm looking for a replacement. I've known about LLBLGen Pro for ages but always thought it was just another ORM.

Would it be possible to use LLBLGen Pro out of the box in a similar way to IronSpeed (creating a simple master-detail web app for databases)?

Not out of the box, but there is a set of custom templates that will a complete web app for you available on the download page
