I am a technical trainer, writing a custom class as requested by a Fortune 500 client. Since the state of the database stuff coming from Microsoft right now is pretty sad, I would like to demo an O/R mapper. I thought I would probably discuss NHibernate, but wondered about the possibility of incorporating LLBLGen into the course. It looks like the most up-to-date, well-supported tool available.

The course is basically an upgrade course, teaching all the new technologies in C# since .Net 2.0. It includes things like LINQ, WCF, WPF, etc. We are contracted to teach three sessions of the course to this client, each 5 days in length. As many as 15 attendees per session (I expect an average of about 12 per session). The first session is going to be taught the 2nd week of January, 2009.

In the future, we will probably spend some time and make this course available to all our customers. I have no idea what kind of response we'll get from our current customer base, but we have several Fortune 500 clients, as well as many smaller organizations, particularly state and local governments.

The education division of our organization does not do any custom development work, so we wouldn't be incorporating LLBLGen into any products. I am just looking for a decent product to show how helpful an O/R mapper can be for our clients, since they seem to want nothing but the best.

Any interest in such an arrangement?

Thanks, feel free to contact me directly at me e-mail address to continue this conversation.
