Hi,

I'm currently busy doing my master thesis on Web-based vs. Desktop based applications, and for this research specifically to email. Therefore I've prepare a questionnaire (of course using LLBLGen writing to a SQL2005 DB) which now needs respondents...

I would really appreciate it if you would take the time to complete my questionnaire (available in Dutch and English) and maybe even forward it to some of your colleagues, friends and family!

It’s 50 closed and 3 open questions, so it shouldn’t take more than 5 minutes.

find it at: http://www.amteam.nl/scriptie

And of course everyone who submits his or her email address will get the final report, which can be very interesting for application developers.

Thanks a lot! Gab

(Any comments about layout, functional problems, tips, more than welcome!)

Some questions were redundant IMHO (I saw a couple of questions which were asked multiple times) wink What's the subject of your thesis btw: how to improve email functionality for the user?

Thanks for filling in!

Yes... they are. But isn't that the standard for questionnaires? simple_smile

Most questions were drawn from previous research for usability and end user computing satisfaction, they've been validated and therefore been used.

The research is about the differences users experience in using web vs. desktop based applications. Maybe they prefer web or desktop, or just don't real care or notice.

An example of a difference could be multi document vs. single document interface. Since desktop interfaces tend to support MDI while most web applications are SDI.

But I'll hope to find out during the research wink

Thanks!
