Vista....anyone migrated?

Hi all,

Well now that Vista is out, I was wondering if anyone here is using it? From what I've heard, VS2005 wont even install in Vista, which doesn't sound too great rage

I migrated my main development machine to Vista at the beginning of the week.

VS2005 works without any problems - VS 2003 won't install though. What annoyed me more was the lack of PowerShell and SQL 2000 support on Vista. (which I mentioned at http://llblgen.com/tinyforum/Messages.aspx?ThreadID=7477&StartAtMessage=0)

On the plus side, Aero glass looks very pretty stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye

Weird, a colleague of mine tried it and VS2005 wouldn't install at all. Did you have to do anything special? I have read posts that suggest copying the files from the VS2005 DVD to your hard drive helps, but that didn't help my colleague!

Very odd...I didn't do anything special to install VS. I just ran the installer from my DVD as I usually would. One thing I did do was install all my software under an Administrator-level account with UAP disabled. Maybe this makes a difference?
