I am looking for a O/R Mapper for my next ASP.NET Project. I am searching for last 2 weeks and I read almost all your forums and comments all over the net.
Since I am new to this O/R thing, I am really confused with your current version of the product.
But I have a feeling that the V2 will have the features that will solve my problem and move on with my BL coding.
Here is my questions...
- Is there anyway, we who is NOT currently your clients get the glimpse of your upcoming product? If not now, how long we need to wait to see it in the download section?
On request we offer the beta-docs with very preliminairy documentation on the new features. I could email you that .chm file. We hope to have a final version in the first half of June 2006.
- Is there one location where I could see all the tutorials, samples, and walkthroughs of your current product to get me started?
Mainly the documentation, which is over 350 printed pages. THe samples we offer are on the demo download page as well and cover some of the features.
- In your view, how LLBLGEN PRO V2 is different from XPO 2006 (DevExpress)?.
In general we don't do feature comparisons between our product and a competitor mainly because we in general aren't familiar in detail with most of our competitors products. (We know the general working most of the time though). With LLBLGen Pro you'll get a code generator engine that's one of the best in the market, a solid feature rich designer to help you setup your code, on top of the runtime libraries which are as feature rich as XPO's (if not more feature rich). XPO 2006 has some .NET 2.0 features which we'll offer in v2, and v2 will also have features not seen in any other o/r mapper today.
