Hey fellas.
Some of you, I hope, remember me from not too long ago.
After 5 years of self-employment, I bit the bullet and accepted a corporate job. The second corporate job of my whole career. Worst mistake of my life!
They hired me as a senior c# developer. Supposedly to help lead the team into more advanced "techniques". After 5 months I started to realize that I was getting stuck owning a horribly architected classic asp app. Why the eff would they interview experienced .net developers for months if they really wanted a script monkey?!
I have many other complaints about that environment. One being that the system was huge and they made me feel like an idiot for asking questions about it. DUH. HowTF do expect me to learn the system?
After 7 months there, I couldn't take it anymore. I simply walked out on them on the last day of the pay period. F 'em!
I ended up going to work with my buddy Scott Cate. Said buddy is an LLBLGen user!
Although, I don't have any projects that use LLBLGen right now, I'm happy to say that I WILL be back in this community soon.
I'm a very happy dev right now.
Glad to be back,
Chris
