I got a new bright 17" laptop and installed all from scratch. I downloaded the 2.0 version with driver 3.20.9.

Installing worked fine, only not the virtual folders in IIS, but I don't need those. I can see the Core assemblies in the GAC...

I rebooted and then I could install the providers. Anyway, I then tested and it worked as expected....

You get that error when you click test connection?

Could you please type on the command line: vsvars32 fuslogvw

be sure vsvars32 loads the .net 2.0 SDK paths, so fuslogvw is the logviewer of .NET 2.0

It should have a llblgenpro entry there which enlists the dll not found, could you check that for me please?

Frans,

There is no entry enlisting any llblgenpro dll. The 2.0 paths are loaded, that works fine.

Will check some other things out too and keep you informed.

You're running the designer on .NET 1.1

I forgot to check the setting after installing it again on my new laptop

But I get a license problem at this time. The LLBLGENPRO.EXE from Janaury 30 contains the new license does it?

Yes it should work... I tried it with the January 30 build and it works ok. (both on .net 1x and .net 20.)...

I don't get it, I run the testapp you sent me and I can connect with the databases. I try to connect by using LLBLGen and I get the error screen I sent you.

Installed all over again all componetns and the same result...

If anyone got any hint?

Problem is solved (you might wonder what happened).

After some emailing with Frans, I found out the licensing might be the problem. I bought a license from CoreLab and now it works.

Weird policy for selling extra licenses there. Should have worked with the compiled license of SD included. Would have prefered investing that amount in LLBLGen .

I'm coming late to the party and it sounds like this is a closed issue, but let me chime in with my strong support for option C. My experience has been that despite mediocre support the core lab driver is more robust than the MySqlAB. And MySQL support would be sorely missed.
