SFTP vs FTPS

Does anyone have a good explanation of SFTP protocol vs FTPS protocol and why / when you would use one vs. the other?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FTPS uses ssl http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SFTP uses ssh
