(First, Frans, you can delete this thread if you don't like it. I'm not trying to advertise or spam your board, but I can see where it would come off as looking like that. I just don't have any more friends to ask and I'm pretty close to getting it.)

Basically, I'm trying to get a free XBOX 360 when it comes out. I had a friend who got a free ipod from peel.com and now they're doing the same thing for the XBOX 360. If I get 4 more people to sign up with one of the available offers, I'll get my free XBOX 360 and you can all come over to play it when ever you want! simple_smile

I chose the efax offer, but quickly decided it wasn't something I would ever use. I was able to cancel the account and still got credit for signing up.

It only takes a few seconds to sign up and you'll be just 5 referrals away from getting your own!

Just click here http://freexbox360.peel.com/refer.php?l=xbx11009815xvrty

Right! And give me a free iPod as well!

http://www.cirture.com/ipod/ipod.htm

I'm a curious guy, so me and a friend sign up for this BS. He got one. I was blown away. It's a matter of shameless self promotion.

The website above explains some things about it. I wrote it because I had the same questions. Keep in mind while you're reading it that it's marketing-speak. Factual, but sickeningly positive.

Is it worth all the trouble and effort? I doubt it, really. I ended up just buying one (see previous posts regarding Amazon rant...) However, I was glad to learn how it all worked.

Bottom line, it can work, but you have to be willing to be a shameless shill. The company involved makes money because many, many people try, but most give up before they qualify for a free product.

Hehe, it's been part of my signature on the ASP.NET forums for the past week. I've made it into the top 10 posters list on the asp.net forums several times so I'm sure it's getting some exposure. wink

Get a google ad. I knew a friend who spent about $100 on google ads promoting his, and he completed his offer. Cheaper than the retail price (it was a higher-end ipod), and faster. Nothing is free and fast.
