free icons for web apps

Anyone have a good suggestion for websites that offer free web icons/images? Did a google search and found several sites but they look unprofessional to say the least. If I could find a good site with pro looking images, I wouldn't paying a bit.

I read in the newsgroups a few months ago where MS had created new "general" icons for Longhorn and will be releasing those for developer use rather than hide the most commonly used icons in some .dll...

a google for 'developer icons' yields quite a few (albeit expensive) options.

MS has updated all the icons and graphics that they include with visual studio 2005. About Time!! simple_smile They are pretty descent.

Is there a url for just the icons? I don't want to load 2005 for just the icons. disappointed Thanks

no url that i am aware of. I saw a MSDN video on them a while back and are installed with vs2005. I dont believe you can download them but i might be wrong.

I purchased a set of icons last year which was really good. A bit expensive but there is a lot of them and you get a toolbox that can convert between them
