Hi Frans I installed the latest Designer version. After that, I "installed" TemplateStudio ( also, the latest ), following the readme.txt, i.e. unzipping in the same folder. When prompted to replace some of the janus dlls, I answered 'No', because the ones installed by the designer msi were more recent than the ones shipped with TemplateStudio, by a month or so. Later, when I tried to start TemplateStudio, I got an exception, telling me that TemplateStudio was expecting another version of some Janus dll. Please, tell me what I did the wrong way.

I just had this issue the other day. I downloaded an unzipped the latest version of the designer and template studio and everything worked. This was 2 days ago.

I beleive that template studio and the llblgen pro designer share janus assemblies. I would download both again just to be sure.

The latest template studio .zip solves this, they indeed share janus dlls. I've updated the templatestudio .zip 2 days ago, so if you've downloaded it yesterday, it might be something else, though it sounds like the problem devildog had too.

Not sure if you meant to but I downloaded the Template Studio stuff last night and the Janus DLL's were password protected so they wouldn't install. To get it to work required me to update my LLBLGen install first.

I downloaded both Designer and TemplateStudio on May/10 at 14:30 UTC. TemplateStudio.exe is dated April/22. All Janus dlls in the TemplateStudio's archive are dated March/03 .ButtonBar is the same in the installation folder ( may be it's not in the Designer msi ). .Common, .Gridex and .UI are more recent in the installation folder. So I think they are there because designer installation.

Is there a more recent build of TemplateStudio ?

Solved I downloaded the TemplateStudio archive just one day before the final release. cry Downloading this later and "installing" does work simple_smile

password protected? Hmm. It's just a zip with some dll's. You should just unpack the templatestudio .zip into the llblgenpro installation folder.

The janus control version mess was my fault. I upgraded to the latest build as the grid had some bugfixes and users could run into these issues, though I forgot that upgrading the dll for llblgen pro would also force a new version on template studio. disappointed

Glad it's solved, Delsur!
