Mono Update

I know this has been posted before when mono was beta. Frans stated there were some errors. Have you tried compiling/running LLBL on mono since the 1.0 release? Thanks.

I haven't looked at mono since. Mono looks promissing, but it's pretty non-existent really. I mean, why would you use mono on linux if there is java and jboss.. simple_smile

Didn't you use to work with those technologies? What drove you away from them if so? Just curious as to why you went with .NET (I think someone told me you used to be a java guy).

I used java in 1995 for applets, never for server side stuff, for that I used VB/C++ com objects, ado and friends. At that time, 1996-1997, writing java code was not that great compared to the ide's you got for c++ and vb and asp was easier to do than jsp's, though the difference isn't that big. After a few years, you can't go back, so windows stuff it is simple_smile .
