1) I installed FireFox on my laptop. I read that RSS was built-in, but I don't see anything in the menu or help about RSS. How do I configure Firefox to use the RSS feeds for this forum? Do I need to download a plug-in?

2) In IE I learned a long time ago to change the privacy setting to prompt me for cookies. For some reason since I started blocking cookies I seem to have completely avoided the problem of spyware on my computer. I admit that doesn't make sense, because cookies are just text files, but I swear it's true. For sites that I know are OK, I just tell IE when it prompts me to allow the cookie.

I went into the Firefox privacy settings dialog. I can tell it to block cookies, but apparently it doesn't have the option to prompt me, I have to manually enter each site I would want to allow a cookie. Oh boy, this would be a real pain. Anybody know something here I don't?

1) i haven't used it for RSS but i believe you'll need an extension.

[edit] it seems you can add RSS links as live bookmarks - Bookmarks -> Manage Bookmarks -> File -> New Live Bookmark. Here you can add an RSS feed as a live bookmark and all topics from the feed will appear as bookmarks.

2) It seems a bit anti-intuitive but you have to select 'Allow sites to set cookies' and then in the 'Keep Cookies' dropdown select 'ask me every time'.

Then you will be asked each time, you also get options to view the cookie details and to allow cookies for this site from now on etc...

Ah, got the cookies working. IE has an option to always allow session cookies, so I get a few more cookie prompts here, but I can live with that.

Don't know about this RSS thing...seems like I have to manually paste a location in for each one. This forum alone has several feeds. There must be a better way.

Thanks for the help!
