Dear ALL;

We are going to re-engineering one of our projects code and we need to use an ORM tool to speed up the process.

What the advantages of using LLBL Gen Pro over Entity Framework? and what is the disadvantages?

Please advise...

This question was asked here before: http://www.llblgen.com/tinyforum/Messages.aspx?ThreadID=20013

Also kindly find the following links (got them from googling: LLBLGen vs Entity Framework):

http://gurustop.net/blog/2009/10/31/which-orm-linq-to-sql-entity-framework-llblgen-nhibernate/

http://www.codeauthority.com/software-developers-blog/EntryId/14/Making-the-decision-between-LLBLGen-3-0-and-Entity-Framework-4-0.aspx

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3313248/devforce-vs-openaccess-vs-llblgen-vs-entity-framework-4-ctp4

As you can see from the above links, the common advantage they all mention is that it's the most powerfull of all.

And yet the Designer supports other frameworks (NHibernate, Entity Framework, Linq2Sql)

And here is a case study about using LLBLGen Pro with Entity Framework: http://www.mattjcowan.com/funcoding/2011/09/25/llblgen-ef-repository-pattern/

Hope these assists you or your manager, to take the decision in favor of LLBLGen simple_smile
