I've done the above,

I was wnet the license file.

I overwrote the old license file thats was in the "LLBLGen Pro v2.5 Demo" folder.

I refreshed the folder, and tried to restart llblGenPro..I get the "30 day trial period has expired" message.

..Shouldn't this just work?

As far as I was aware, the demo version is a fully functioning version that's restricted only in the number of days that it's valid.

If this is correct, surely all I should have to do is overwrite the license file and refresh the folder.

A quick reply much appreciated.

Yes, you've to download the full version either frm the link in the email you received or preferably from the customer area. Login with your v2.x customer id.

I'm looking for the easiest, least error prone way of getting the project working in the full release, rather than the demo.

Do I simply download the full version and "open" the project in the full version?

If so, when I build the project that I've opened in the full version, it should simply build and write the c# project to the same destination in my target visual studio solution, with no issues?

I really need to be sure of what to do so that the process is as smooth as possible.

The demo is the full version with a time trail protection in the designer assemblies. So you can load the project into the full version without a problem, generating code is the same etc.

I've just downloaded the trial version and and got the trial license. I copied the trial license to the program directory, but when I try to run LLBLGen, I get a message saying the trial license has already expired. How can I get the trial to run?

I tried the license which was sent to you (from the CC copy send to our email address) and it works.

Did you save the attachment properly or was it embedded in the email as xml and did you save that as a file?

Also, did you copy the license file to the installation folder as administrator?. Perhaps your machine's time/date isn't properly setup for daylight saving time, and it thinks the time is in the future and gives up. Your computer time should now say 7AM, correct?

The license was an attachment so I saved the attachment to the program directory. I have Windows 7 and I was prompted that I need Admin rights (which I have) to I clicked continue. The file save completed with no more errors. I live in Baton Rouge, LA so the time is actually 9:00 am 8/24/2010.

Thanks, we'll setup a windows box with that timezone and check it out whether this gives problems.

I've tested it on Windows 7, set to your timezone CDT (louisiana) 9.19am, used your license and it works OK (did a fresh install of llblgen pro)

We'll send you a new trial license. You should receive it within 5-10 minutes.
