Is there any way to obtain the documentation in PDF format instead of .CHM ?

1) .CHM is not working at all on my XP SP3 machine. I only get the tree, no content. 2) PDF is something I can print and then read off-line, which I prefer to do, once when it's new. I just upgraded to 3.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike,

This is the reason and easy solution tip for that: http://www.llblgen.com/TinyForum/Messages.aspx?ThreadID=17968

I will pass the request to LLBLGen Team to see if it is possible to publish docs in PDF format.

We'll publish PDF versions of the docs soon though we don't have an exact date. Please let us know if you still can't get the chm to work.

Thank you, I did get the .CHM to work finally. I eagerly await the publication of the PDF format though.

Thank you,

Mike

yeah, it's a bit of a problematic situation: uncheck the checkbox. We'll add a note to the website to make this more clear.

We converted the docs to pdf, however the llblgen pro runtime docs in pdf format turned out to be not so great: a lot of the pages have missing text on the right side... It seems due to the HTML we used, which in general doesn't use <p> elements in that documentation. The problem is that the documentation is very big (over 546 printed pages) and therefore a massive undertaking to update the HTML, so we won't do that.

I've contacted the author of the tool we use to convert the chm files to see if he can help us create a proper pdf.

We'll publish the other docs' pdf files shortly

The pdf versions for the following docs are now available: - Designer - EF support - Linq to sql - NHibernate

they're available in the customer area, v3 section, documentation.

The LLBLGen Pro runtime framework documentation in pdf format currently didn't give proper results in the converter: text is missing at the right side on a lot of pages. We've contact the author of the converter, and hope to fix this in the (near) future.
