The advice about WHFL on the DotNetNuke forums is quite the opposite. Granted, for what you pay, DNN may be overkill for their servers. I haven't used them personally though.
Hmmm.
That's news to me. I am interested. Do you have link to that thread?
FWIW, I do host a DotNetNuke (DNN) site via http://www.WebHost4Life.com . It is a sub-domain, http://www.Woodworking.WebLogicArts.com/ , and it seems OK to me. I will add that I have not done too much with the site yet, so it is low-traffic right now-- primarily experimental and for testing until I find a little time. That said, with what I have done, it does seem to run just fine to me.
Anyway, I am only speaking from my own experience with http://www.WebHost4Life.com so the experience of other might, obviously, be different. I have no affiliation other than hosting with them for about 3 years now. I do get referral points if someone mentions my username (mkamoski) when signing up-- but, that is nothing special as it is the case with all of their customers.
I realize that while I may like WebHost4Life, others may not. I guess that it depends what the requirements are. The following were important to me and were delivered by WebHost4Life-- cheap hosting; no hidden fees; SQL Server 2000; SQL Server 2005 Express; ASP.NET 2.0; virtually full control over the base root of my web space via web control panel; web based help desk with quick response; lots of space for just a little money; unlimited email addresses; unlimited sub-domains; and a few other things. All of that, I can say, they do deliver-- or, at least, they have delivered it to me.
As always-- buyer beware.
HTH.
Thank you.
