Frans,

I have a lot of typedlist and when I want to create a new one I have to go to the top of the list to right click the "TypedLists" node or go to the menu. I would like to right click any existing typedlist and have the option to create a new typedlist.

Would a keyboard shortcut be sufficient? I don't like options in context menus which actually don't belong there.

Ok the keyboard shortcut would work; however if I right click an existing Typedlist and the context menu include a "Add new typedlist" or "Create new typedlist" I do not see that as not belonging there!

A context menu belonging to a typedlist should enlist options related to that typedlist, not options related to the program, like 'create a new typedlist'.

So that's why I don't think it's a good idea to add that option to that context menu, as it shouldn't be there (in theory), because then you can also add other 'handy' options to every context menu wink .

The keyboard shortcut however will work as it will be picked up. I'll see if I can make that work.

That's one mans opinion. For example, if you go to Enterprise Manager and right click on the Db node, you get "New Database...", but also if you right click on a database in the list you still get "New Database..." on the menu.

Not that it matters to me.

Though where does it then stop, in your opinion? Because I can then merge every context menu in the project explorer (and there are a lot of context menus in that form wink ) into one, or at least a lot of options can be moved to that 'general' context menu list.
