I know that full text search isnt supported in SQL 2005 express edition. But im getting conflicting reports that it may be supported later in 2006. I have found on one page in MSDN that it says reporting services and fulltext will be supported later in 2006. But on the SQL Server 2005 feature comparision, it only mentions that reporting services will be supported in 2006.

Anyone know which is true? Frans? i would like to use full-text but i which route i go depends on if sql express will support it or not as compatibilty with express is a must!

Frankly I have no idea if it will be supported later on. If it's not supported now it's purely a marketing strategy, as it uses external MSSearch service anyway to do the fulltextsearch.
