Ok,

I give up. What are the little check boxes in the forum thread list supposed to indicate?

It tells you at the bottom of each forum page. I have to agree though, i was also in a state of confusion til i found it.

The announcement of the new features isn't yet up, but these boxes indicate that a thread is active (open box) / done (box with V).

At the top of a thread's messages page, the topicstarter and the support team can flag a topic as 'done'. It then will show a [V] in the list, otherwise a [ ]. Active threads can be seen by using the Active threads link at the top of each page or the active threads link on the startpage (below the bookmarks link, in the new 'Easy access' list)

The active threads page is a great enhancement for the forum to find threads which are unanswered or require attention.

Active threads are listed in the active thread list for 48 hours. This is the initial setting, if it has to become a longer period, I'll increase that threshold simple_smile
