Someone told me that .NET remoting is dead in Indigo, so they are only using Web services. It can't be!

I just did a quick Google search and this was at the top. Unfortunately, I don't understand it all. Anyone here have any thoughts?

From what I have read in the programming indigo book, COM+, DCOM, Remoting, and WebServices will still all be avaiable and accessible using indigo. Check out the programming indigo book that was just release by mspress. It is pretty cool.

Yeah, I freaked out a bit because of the way someone put this to me, but of course the remoting namespace will remain in future versions of .NET for long to come (forever?) and Indigo is just the next generation of distributed architecture MS is giving us. I found this article pretty helpful.
