After 4 months of development and 2 months be beta testing, LLBLGen Pro v1.0.2004.2 has been released!

Please go to the upgrades section to download the new full installer. If you want to know what's new in this new release, which is free for customers, either download the LLBLGenPro.chm file from the documentation section or check the news section in the customer area.

This is a major release, with a lot of changes. A lot of work has been done to keep migration pains to an absolute minimum.

Also released: the port of the MS Petshop application (ASP.NET) to LLBLGen Pro code.

LLBLGen Pro v1.0.2004.2 is released today for customers and will be released in demo form and marketing material on Monday, April 25th.

All beta-testers, customers and other people who have tested the beta, made suggestions and recommendations: Thank you!. simple_smile

You can download the new installer from: http://www.llblgen.com/pages/secure/upgrades.aspx

Well done and thanks. I can't wait for the version 2 at the end of this year, as I have now started to play with VS2005 BETA 2.

If we start using the new VS.NET 2005 beta, can we expect smooth sailing with the current LLBL

BEta 2 of vs.net is still a beta, so smooth sailing is a subjective thing wink . BUt it should be relatively painless. The 1.1 runtimes do work ok with the 2.0 code, it has some problems (I still have to reproduce) with webprojects and design time code.. Winforms and design time code is ok.

I will put out a .NET 2.0 native build of the runtime lib code, to avoid problems, perhaps in the next week. I've installed beta 2 this afternoon, and tried some simple winforms databinding thingy and it worked ok.

Though keep in mind that we don't officially support .NET 2.0 yet.

When generating code, please select the generator configs which don't say '2003', so you will be prompted and you then can select vs.net 2005

I've subscribed to the ask-the-experts for teched europe, but I'm not sure if I'll be elected. I think you're talking about teched USA, and I won't attend there wink

Congrats Frans, this is truely fantastic news. Can't wait to get home now from work simple_smile

The MS Petshop port is truely amazing and i'm learning tons from that.... I know, I know it's not a good example in showing you how to code a 3-tier app but it's good to see how separated LLBLGen code looks in a 3-tier app.

Geoff.

Great! Thanks Frans!

Like Wayne - I've been busy with "other stuff" recently - back on ASP for a while rage But, I am going to get stuck into the new version soon and see just how cool it is simple_smile

Woo hoo!
