I want to edit template for my customization. But Template Studio can't run, only see splash screen, then I can't see the template stuidio's main windows. check the task manager, show it run. just can't see its mail windows, nothing I do . only dock its icon at the taskbar, click its icon does't work

this tool does't throw an expection, so I don't know what to do .

Does this tool has any trace info that I can find what's going on?

my OS: Windows7 Enterprise.

Are you running on 64bit? Have you unpacked the Tamplate studio into the LLBLGen ro installation folder? (TamplateStudio.exe should be in the same folder as the LBLGenPro.exe)

Could you please download the latest version and try again?

yes, 64 bit windows 7. TemplateStudio.exe is in the same folder as the LBLGenPro.exe

Can you run LLBLGenPro v.2.6 without issues?

yes, can use LLBL Gen v2.6 without any problem

although I understand template's file structure, can edit template file with Notepad but it did not work efficiently.

Does this tool has any special settings? such as Region and Language(Control Panel), I run templatestduio as a administror, so, no permission issue.

Did you download the latest builds? (of llblgen pro v2.6 and templatestudio) and did you place templatestudio inside the llblgen pro v2.6 folder?

yes, I get the latest build templatestudio ,put it in llbl installation folder. still does't work, but templatestudio can run at my colleadge's computer. just copy my llbl and templatestudio installation files into his computer(just for test) (copy the whole folder D:\Program Files (x86)\Solutions Design\LLBLGen Pro v2.6 into his computer)

it works, so amazing.

the only difference between his computer an I ,is the os verion. his os : windwos7 home basic edition, 64 bit. my windows 7 enterprise 64 bit. and maby we have different region and laguage settings.

Could you please try disabling UAC on Windows and re-start the Template Studio, or start it with an Administrator account.

I have the same problem too on Windows 7 Pro 64bit

In v2.6 we used an older version of the janus controls, I think this is the main problem causer. In v2.6's designer, the problem isn't happening because we use vanilla .NET menu controls but in template studio we don't.

Please try to run templatestudio under 32bit (by using a small program, like: http://www.llblgen.com/tinyforum/Messages.aspx?ThreadID=17043&StartAtMessage=0&#95411

be sure to copy the template studio config file over to the 32bit runner's .exe so it too has the right config file). Or try to use the backwards compatibility options in windows 7, by right-clicking the exe in explorer.

In v3 we integrated template studio in the designer, and it runs properly on 64bit.
