When refreshing an oracle schema using the LLBL GenPro designer we receive the following error

Hi Makhaly_cs,

You have to set/increase DriverTimeout in User Preferences as this is likely a driver timeout thing.

Please remember to post relevant information (LLBLGenPro build version, etc.) next time wink

When executing retrieving data from a typed view it still gives me the same error while i set the DriverCommandTimeout to 180 seconds (it is a huge time).

I use LLBL GenPro Version 2.6 October 2009 release.

Thanks in advance...

The DriverCommandTimeout setting is just for the Designer to fetch the metadata from the database.

You are using SelfServicing, right? The following is copied from the manual. (Using the generated code -> SelfServicing -> DbUtils functionality)

Command timeouts If you want to set the ADO.NET command timeout to a value other than the default of 30 seconds, use the DbUtils.CommandTimeOut property to set it to a different value. This will change the timeout immediately for all calls to the database.
