I have received a Version 2.5 License but I would like to initially use Version 1 as it will take to much time to update our application to Version 2.5 (For Now).

I have tried renaming the license file to "LLBLGenPro.license" but the application states that its invalid.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Please next time don't post this in general chat, as threads here aren't added to our queues.

You don't have a v1 license ? V1 needs a different license than v2, so you can't use the v2 license with v1 and vice versa. As you talk about an existing application, is that one made with v1 but you can't use the v1 license used to make that app?

I'm a new employee to the company and we do want to move the existing application to v2 but will not be doing that for a while as it will take to long todo that. Is there by chance a V1 to V2 convertor as that would make our lives easier.

You can always open an old version LLBLGen project in a newer LLBLGen Designer version. And you should always check the documentation of the newer version for migrating your code and break changes.

My understanding is that v1 had a company/location license, so you sould be able to copy the v1 license from another developers machine in your company.

The problem is that I have joined the company this week and the previous developer was the person who had the license and he has left. So we bought the license for the company but it is not backward compatible (Not that any are) .

I've also never used the application before so I'm not to sure what problems might appear let alone knowing exactly what needs to be changed inside the code to get it working.

No worries. We'll send you a v1.0.2005.1 license, so you can use that license with v1.0.2005.1, which you can download from the customer area.

Please open a HELPDESK thread and post THERE (not here!) your customerid so we can send you the v1 license.

A Big Thanx. Really appreciate it.
