Franssimple_smile

Have you thought about increasing your price for LLBLGen? Let say maybe with a 100 or 200 euro's? Then you could maybe employee a junior developer to supe up this forum for you and take care of all the little bugs in the LLBLGen system while you work on more serios issues.

It's great having you doing all of this but there is only 24hrs in a day and you are only 1 man.

Adding another developer is not necessarily adding speed to the development process. Especially bugfixing requires a lot of time with the system. There are small issues left and they get fixed, as these don't take a lot of time. Most of the time is eaten away by large new features or like the 4 weeks I lost with migrating the complete gui to infragistics grids.

The forum is working, there are some small glitches, but are they really annoying? (the error on the paging is small, I thought I fixed that months ago, but perhaps I forgot to patch the stored proc online)

Another developer only saves time if s/he can work independently from me, which is not the case with this system, at least not for a long time if that developer steps in now. THere are some people who will step in for support when time is short, but that will not give the same level of support you're used to.

The fun thing is, the amount of support requests is stable for months, while the amount of customers increases steadily. Apparently after a while customers find their way to this forum or find their way with the system and don't need support anymore.

It's great having you doing all of this but there is only 24hrs in a day and you are only 1 man.

I know, it's hard work simple_smile But the amount of features left to be implemented isn't endless. I hope to be finished with what I want to add to the tool by October/november 2004. After that it should be much easier simple_smile

Well let me confuse this hole for forum by quoting something that was posted 3 pages ago...

Well, what I find funny as a european citizen of a country where the following things are legal: prostitution, soft drugs, euthanisia, abortion, drinking booze at 16, and the following things are illegal: firearms, that we over here have far less people per 1000 inhabitants in jail, being poor, we have far lower crime rate and for example we have the lowest amount of teen pregnancies per 1000 people in the world. I'm not sure, but I think the way the US' focus on the individual (in general, I'm not saying you have that vision) instead of on the community in general is disturbing. Just over the border in Canada, figures are very different. I think having a long term vision is great but as long as money leads politics instead of politics leads money, the US is not on the right track.

So frans, what is your favourite soft drug?stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye

Do you have any kids?

If nothing is illegal, there are no crimes to be committed, of course the rate is low! stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye

hmmm....ok....not even a little marijuana?wink

Nooo, never did that also. It's available at 'coffee shops' (no, you can't get any coffee there wink ) without hassle, but I never liked the idea of smoking nor getting totally wacked out by dope (although when I was student, being drunk was fun (not the day after) wink )

I don't smoke, i don't do drugs and i don't get totally drunk (pissed) ...but i do enjoy my beer & red wine. The only drug that i am totally addicted to is Programming - atleast 17 hours a day.

Hehe simple_smile Same here. simple_smile 3 weeks on a holiday without a computer would kill me, really simple_smile

hehehe, start saving money, kid wink simple_smile Don't be worried, just make a decision simple_smile The sooner you get them, the sooner life without hassle ends, but of course another life begins. It just depends on what you want to do more simple_smile

Jeff, the trick is to get your wife a computer aswell...wink - bit to late now seeing that little jeff is on the way.

I had 7 years to train mine.... she was my girl friend for 6 years, my viance for 1 year and know wife for life. So i had some time to get her trained.wink - But she does give me some grief every now and again....smile

I watched "Underworld" the movie last night sunglasses - you know the movie about Vampires and Werewolfs. Well there was a documentary on CD About Vampires and Werewolfs (Fact or Fiction) - In the doc there was these 3 people living in Amsterdam believing that they are Vampires or Werewolfs...they even have there own private club for Vampires and Werewolfs - where they supposedly drink each others bloodfrowning ...they prefer blood from people who are vegetarian and don't smokesmile ...

Damm Otis, some funny shit going on there if you ask me.wink - Watch where you go at night.stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye

So tell me, on your day off are you going to "gawp at a pig wumman?"

"I do, and I'm ganging in. Are ye wi' me or no?"

stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye

That story is hilarious! Plus, I learned that citizens of Glasgow are called "Glaswegians."

"Weel noo, an' when I tak' another gawp at her, I can see her face isnae quite sae black on the left as it is on the right."

Seems like I said that once about a girl I dated in college...

And I don't think swallace will ever be able to catch up to you - he' s not a lamer troll like you are.. wink smile . Take care, man.

I'm going back to work on my own project, my own company - unfortunatly i won't be using LLBLGen there. I have my own OR Mapper that i have implemented into that project.

I took this job just to help my co out of the difficult time that it was having. Actually they did offer me a new contract but with certain conditions that is unacceptable to me. If i don't accept the conditions then the contract is terminated...
