SelfServicingExtensionMethods.GetFirstAsync<TEntity> Method (EntityQuery<TEntity>, ITransaction)

Async variant of GetFirst<TEntity>(EntityQuery<TEntity>, ITransaction). Fetches the first entity of the set returned by the query and returns that entity, if any, otherwise null.

query: Type: SD.LLBLGen.Pro.QuerySpec.EntityQuery<TEntity>
The query.

The transaction to use.

Type Parameters

TEntity: The type of the entity.

Return Value

Type: Task<TEntity>
the first entity in the resultset, or null if the resultset is empty.

Usage Note

In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type EntityQuery<TEntity>. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter.
