QueryableExtensionMethods.MarkWithTag<TSource> Method

Specifies the tag to append as comment into the SQL query / queries generated from the query specified. Use the tag to trace back the origin of a SQL query in the RDBMS.

Parameters

source
Type: System.Linq.IQueryable<TSource>
the query to tag
tag
Type: System.String
the string to insert as comment into the SQL query/queries. Don't use '/*' and '*/' markers in your tag. If the tag is null or empty, it's ignored.

the type of the query

Return Value

Type: IQueryable<TSource>
the query specified

Usage Note

In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type IQueryable<TSource>. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter.
