QueryableExtensionMethodsCacheResultsetTSource Method (IQueryableTSource, TimeSpan, Boolean, String)

Specifies that the query's resultset should be cached for the duration specified. Only one tag is kept per complete query. Specify the tag you want to use on the outermost query expression.

Parameters

source
Type: System.LinqIQueryableTSource
The source.
duration
Type: SystemTimeSpan
The duration how long the resultset will stay in the cache.
overwriteIfPresent
Type: SystemBoolean
if set to true it will replace an existing cached set with the one specified.
cacheTag
Type: SystemString
The cache tag.

Usage Note

In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type IQueryableTSource. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter. For more information, see Extension Methods (Visual Basic) or Extension Methods (C# Programming Guide).
