Name of the catalog. Ignored if containingSchema isn't null - containingSchema

The containing schema. Can be null if the name is for a new schema. If not null, catalogName is ignored - nameToValidate

The name to validate. - checkForDuplicates

true if the name is a valid schema name, false otherwise
